These terms govern your purchase and use of Tarn, a native macOS application published by Point Signal Inc. ("we," "us"). By purchasing or using Tarn, you agree to these terms.
1. The license you are buying
Tarn is sold as a one-time purchase. You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Tarn on Macs you own or control, for your personal use. You own your copy and your data; we retain ownership of the Tarn software and its intellectual property.
"Lifetime updates" means updates we release for Tarn are included at no additional charge for the life of the product. It does not constitute a promise of a specific future feature or an indefinite service obligation.
2. Seller of record
Your purchase is processed by our Merchant of Record, Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), who is the seller of record for the transaction, handles payment, and remits applicable taxes. Creem's buyer terms also apply to the purchase transaction.
3. What Tarn does and does not do
Tarn is a read-only portfolio tracking and journaling instrument. It connects to exchanges and accounts you already hold using read-only credentials. Tarn cannot place trades, move funds, or take custody of any assets, and is not intended to. Tarn is not a broker, exchange, wallet, custodian, or financial advisor.
4. Not financial advice
Tarn displays and helps you record information about your own portfolio. Nothing in Tarn is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All trading and investment decisions are yours alone, and you are solely responsible for them. Trading carries risk, including loss of capital.
5. Accuracy and honest degradation
We build Tarn to display figures accurately or to mark them clearly when a value cannot be confirmed. However, Tarn depends on data from third-party exchanges and price sources we do not control. We do not warrant that all data is complete, accurate, or uninterrupted, and you should not rely on Tarn as the sole basis for any financial decision. Always verify against your exchange of record before acting.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for: keeping your Mac and license key secure, using only read-only API keys as instructed, and complying with the terms of the exchanges you connect.

8. Warranty disclaimer
Tarn is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Point Signal Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, loss of profits, or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Tarn. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tarn will not exceed the amount you paid for your license.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the effective date reflects the latest version. We may suspend or terminate a license that breaches these terms (for example, license abuse or unlawful use).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
